Unfriendly :(

Not that i'm cheating on you lovely ladies but seen as i've moved and know no one around here I decided to check out netmums website and see if i could find some mums in this area to talk to. I put a message in the meet a mum board and replied to a few others but it's been a over a week now and i've heard nothing back. How unfriendly, I'd only heard good things about netmums so thought it would be really friendly. Just sort of added to my bad week/few weeks, I feel so isolated in the new house. I know I need to go to some baby groups and i'll meet people there but my confidence has just fit rock bottom atm and tbh I spend most days sitting at home feeling crap and crying. Sad

Aww hun sorry you feel so low, try not to be to upset about no one replying I also put a post up on netmums and it took a little while for anything to come through. It all depends how busy your area is. Mine doesn't get used as much as some.
I know I'm not exactly on the door step to you but we could meet up. Do you drive?

It must be very difficult having moved and starting all over again. Have you found a sure start centre there yet? Might be a good place to register at if you can!

Yeah i think it's just not a busy board like some. Normally I don't think i'd care, but i think it's annoyed me more cause i'm already feeling low.
Where abouts are you exactly? i do drive. Smile

I've been to sure start but atm they're workingout a tiny room in the clinic and are in the process of moving so werent much help. I'm hoping they'll be better once they're moved and have proper offices.

maybe go to the ante-natal classes when u reach that stage see if there is a local on running. You will meet lots of ladies maybe in the same position as you.

I'm in Stevenage in Hertfordshire, but the Bedfordshire border is about 15miles from me. We could look at somewhere in the middle if you want to.

I have had no joy with netmums either if honest, I went on when I was preg with lillie. I didnt like it.

youve got us anyways hehe but I am sure once you get settled you'l make friends no problem!! xx
