I must say, I was tempted to get one because Megan was so premature and had all sorts of monitors when she was in hospital for 6 weeks. Saying that, I decided against it as I thought it would make me so jumpy and panicky! I'm sure it will be fine hun if you want to get rid of it. xx

my friend lost her child to cot death and i am generally a worrier and when i had my first they were not so readily available then and i remember laying awake at night waiting for the sleep sigh from the babies Sad

eally has made me sleep easier at night and i dont think im ready to get rid but i think maybe im being just a tad paranoid !

its understandable when someone close has lost a baby, I think I would be too. Hey if its no bother then why not leave it where it is? If it gives you peace of mind no harm done eh? xx

I haven't got one but did look into them. The risk is well and truly over by Danielle's age, but if it makes you happy, stick with it x

If Hannah had stayed in a cot up until it was Josephs turm then id of kept using it for as long as i could, just for peace of mind, as im sure the risk really is nothing now. X

ummmmm we have one but havent actually used it yet (i say yet, i dont think we will hook it up now!). i think after 6 months, but definitely after a year it should be fine. i barely slept because either elijah was awake, or he was asleep and i was checking on him Embarassed

i still check on him now, so i reckon if it makes you feel safer than keep it the way it is Smile

Im assuming when you say you are still using it its on danielle not kieran hon x Very Happy

If its making you feel secure then go for it and wait. Ive seen a late cot death up to 18 months but thats so so so rare as to be untrue. I was wondering when to stop using my basic monitor for c (like helz i decided against the matress monitor as i thought it wud make me paranoid) but cant see me stopping using the basic sound monitor for ages yet as i prefer to hear her if she stirs

we use the monitor regardless when she is in bed so we can hear if and when she wakes so it does not put us out any using the breathing pad as its a combined monitor

i think i will probably continue to use it until she is in a big girls bed :)x
