I like Sainsburys so have been trying their basics range of items and so far been impressed. 4 yogurts 29p, wipes 18p, chocolate mousse around 40p, fromais frais around 40p. These prices are brill. I have also tried the tinned tomms which are ok not tried the beans yet but got a tin in the cupboard to try. The wipes I just use in the kitchen for wiping messy hands etc. The frames frais I give to the kids, they have less sugar that Little Star yogurts and a lot cheaper. I have not tried the other supermarkets own brand so don't know how they compare x

I like the sainsburys basic range, but I buy basic from any supermarket. I hate paying more for essentially the same thing. I saw a programme once where I think it was weetibix, the supermarket own range and the official ones were made in the same place, the only difference was the packaging.

Martin lewis (money saving expert) is always saying that if you drop one brand level you can save £1000+ a year and most of the stuff is the same.

Ive heard a lot of basics ranges are made by the bigger brands and just dont have the packaging. Tend to buy beans etc anyway in basic but might branch out a bit
