hey ladies, just wondering what kind of dilution you would do of fresh orange/cooled boiled water for elijah? he needs to poo and he is miserable so hopefully that might help...any thoughts?

when gracie had it we diluted 1 teaspoon to 150mls of water its supposed to be 50 mls but it was still way too strong x hope that helps x

just add as much water as need be hun by tasting it you will know if its too strong x

thanks don't want to give him loads as hes never had it before, i dont want to upset his tummy more

Oooh don't know the official mearurments but I'd do something like 1oz of juice topped up with 4 oz water.

What about prune juice..or a couple spoonfuls of prune puree. There are also stool softeners for babies that make it easier for them to go..I think it's called colace. Its hard seeing them struggle to go poo. xxx

its half eight at night and im not venturing out for prunes! maybe if this doesn't work, will try the orange first though, even the water itself might help a bit

Lewis was struggling the other day so i gave him half a pot of pear/apple puree which did the trick. I was going to try the orange juice but didnt have any x

he is drinking it quite happily now, only 2oz water with a couple of spoons of orange hopefully it will help him out - i have been giving him pear and apple recently but apparently the apple might be making it worse? i think its carrots for brekkie tomorrow so hopefully we get back on track

Beware though hun once that orange juice starts to work its like an explosion in the nappy x

i would rather an explosion than a poo-less baby! haha he still hasnt poo'd but lots of windy bums so hopefully something will happen today...he has gone longer before!
