Bit of a random one, but my SIL is going to a funeral/wake type thing and is putting my niece, who is 8 months, in all black.

Personally, I wouldnt dress Aimee in black for a funeral, because its not a colour she normally wears and doesnt suit it. I would dress her in a pretty outfit and wouldnt think about the colour.

Would you put your baby/child in black or just dress them as normal?

I would dress a young child in normal clothes. Its a bit morbid to dress a baby in black tbh!! Obviously when they get older 10 + maybe dress them in dark colours We took Sam to Bens nans funeral when he was 4 months and just dressed him as normal xxx

defo in normal clothes i am very sure ppl will understand its a child !

I would dress them in normal colours too - I really dont like black on babies (each to their own). Somebody bought Hannah a black Baby K tracksuit (3-6) when she was born, although it is a lovely little outfit I just couldn't get past the fact that it was black and never put it on her it just didn't feel right.

I do know some people who like black for their babies though so if it was something they would normally wear then fine.

I would dress them normally too. My MIL recently bought Chloe a black outfit from Baby K and I don't like it at all. I will put black leggings on her with a colourful top but that's about as far as I'll go

I went to a funeral with Immi when she was 7 months and i dressed her in brown dress, it had orange elephants and patterns on. I tried to go for a slightly darker colours than i'd normally put her in but not complete mourning wear. My sil dressed her little girl similarly, brown with pink i think.

At my Nan's funeral we dressed Flick in a normal outfit.
It was December so she was wearing layers and was wrapped up snug

id just dress them in normal colours too xx

At Ollies funeral my nieces and cousins 5,6, 18 months and 11 months all wore smart normal clothes I think I'd have found it a bit weird them wearing black, Me and oh wore blue anyway
