I didnt have to worry about this with Aimee, so it didnt really occur to me...

Do you have to have 100% cotton cellular blankets for a newborn?

I don't think you have to, but i did because i liked that they were breathable and the fleecy ones seemed to make eli sweaty (although it was june). we have a pure wool knitted one and i put a cellular or two on top now if he feels cool Smile

I have a random selection! I have fleece, hand knitted ones, bought cotton knitted ones and if I can find them a couple of cellular ones which I think are cotton! But my two never had a problem with any of them! I did tend to keep the cellular ones for the cot but as I haven't found them yet this time, I have a feeling bumpy will get whatever is close at hand!!

I had tonnes of different ones...and lived in cyprus! But mainly used cellular ones.

Phew! Thanks.

I also had a mixture of different ones for Aimee and they did use them in hospital, but as they were taking her temp all day, every day, I didnt have to worry about things like that.

I will stick with what I have got then, and get a couple of cellular ones too x

Primark blankies for my two. I have a selection of different ones and I do like the cotton cellular ones too but they just aren't as snuggly as the fluffy primark ones. Both my two love to be really warm and snuggly and will moan if they get the slightest draught, I did used to worry about over heating with Thomas but they like what they like - theyre all different I guess. Thomas will probably still be dragging his blankies around when he goes off to uni - might change his name to Lynus Laughing
